# Cookie Policy
**Effective date:** 6 July 2026
**Website:** www.ewairm.com
## 1. Introduction
This Cookie Policy explains how **De-Risking Solutions Ltd** ("we", "us", "our") uses cookies and similar technologies on www.ewairm.com, and the choices available to you. It applies alongside our Privacy Policy (www.ewairm.com/privacy/) and our Terms and Conditions (www.ewairm.com/terms-and-conditions/).
We use cookies in accordance with the UK Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR) and the UK GDPR and, for visitors from the European Economic Area, the ePrivacy Directive and EU GDPR.
## 2. What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They allow the site to recognise your device, remember your preferences and understand how the site is being used. Similar technologies include local storage, pixels and tags; in this policy, "cookies" covers all of these.
Cookies may be **first-party** (set by us) or **third-party** (set by another organisation whose service we use). They may be **session** cookies (deleted when you close your browser) or **persistent** cookies (remaining for a set period).
## 3. Your consent
When you first visit the Website you are shown a consent banner, managed by **Consently**, our consent management platform. Strictly necessary cookies are set without consent because the Website cannot function properly without them. All other categories are set only if you choose to allow them.
You can change your mind at any time: use the cookie settings link in the Website footer (or the floating consent icon) to reopen the banner, review the categories and providers, and update or withdraw your consent. Your choice is recorded, together with a timestamp, so that we can demonstrate compliance.
## 4. The categories of cookies we use
**Strictly necessary.** Required for the operation of the Website: page delivery and load balancing, security, and the cookie that records your own consent choices. These cannot be switched off through the banner, though you can block them in your browser (parts of the Website may then not work).
**Functional / preferences.** Remember choices you make, such as your selected implementation tier on interactive pages, language or display preferences, so that you do not need to reselect them on each visit.
**Analytics / performance.** Help us understand how visitors use the Website (pages visited, time on page, approximate location at city level, referral source) so that we can improve content and navigation. This data is aggregated and is not used to identify you. Set only with your consent.
**Marketing (if enabled).** Used to measure the effectiveness of our communications or to show relevant content about the EW-AiRM™ framework, book, toolkit and training on other platforms. Set only with your consent. If we do not currently operate marketing cookies, this category will show as empty in the banner.
## 5. Cookies used on this Website
The live, always-current list of cookies, their providers, purposes and durations is shown in the cookie consent banner (open it via the cookie settings link). Typical cookies on this Website include:
| Cookie / provider | Category | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| Consently consent cookie | Strictly necessary | Records your consent choices and preferences | 12 months |
| Website platform session cookies | Strictly necessary | Site delivery, security and session integrity | Session |
| Tier / display preference | Functional | Remembers selections on interactive pages (e.g. implementation tier) | Up to 12 months |
| [ANALYTICS TOOL, e.g. Google Analytics 4: _ga, _ga_*] | Analytics | Aggregated usage statistics to improve the Website | Up to 13 months |
| Lemon Squeezy checkout cookies | Strictly necessary (checkout) | Enable secure payment and fraud prevention during checkout, set by Lemon Squeezy as Merchant of Record | Per Lemon Squeezy policy |
| Course platform cookies | Strictly necessary (course) | Learner login, session and progress on the online course | Per platform policy |
| Embedded media (e.g. video hosting) | Functional / marketing | Enable playback of embedded course previews and videos; may set cookies when you play content | Per provider policy |
Third-party providers set and control their own cookies under their own policies; we link to those policies in the consent banner. Where a third-party service transfers data outside the UK or EEA, the safeguards described in section 5 of our Privacy Policy apply.
## 6. Managing cookies in your browser
In addition to the consent banner, you can control cookies through your browser settings: blocking all cookies, blocking third-party cookies, or deleting cookies already stored. Guidance is available for Chrome, Safari, Firefox and Edge on their providers' help pages, and general information is available at ico.org.uk and allaboutcookies.org. Blocking strictly necessary cookies may prevent parts of the Website, the checkout or the course platform from working.
## 7. Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control
Where our consent platform recognises browser-based privacy signals such as Global Privacy Control, non-essential cookies will be treated as declined unless you subsequently choose otherwise.
## 8. Changes to this policy
We may update this Cookie Policy as our use of cookies changes or as providers update their technologies. The effective date above shows the latest revision; the consent banner always reflects the current cookie list, and material changes will prompt the banner to re-seek your consent.
